The final episode showed Sam Heughan’s Jamie Fraser getting shot during the Battle of Kings Mountain. Later, both Jamie and Caitriona Balfe’s Claire suddenly opened their eyes as if waking from death itself.

The ending strongly suggested they survived, but the show never fully explained how. Fans have long questioned Claire’s mysterious healing abilities, and a possible movie could finally reveal the truth behind her powers.

Brianna’s Baby Reveal Could Set Up a New Story

Another major twist came when Brianna and Roger discovered that their newborn son, Davy, does not carry the time-travel gene.

The reveal felt important because time travel has always been central to the series. Claire even suggested that Davy’s condition could keep the family permanently connected to one timeline.

The upcoming tenth novel, A Blessing for a Warrior Going Out, still has not been released, meaning there is more source material available for the franchise to explore.

That gives the creators another strong reason to revisit the characters in a movie format instead of producing another full television season.

Blood of My Blood Could Connect to Outlander

Fans have also noticed growing connections between Outlander and its prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood.

The newer series introduced surprising family details, including the existence of a brother Claire never knew she had. Those reveals created fresh crossover possibilities between both stories.
