The Euphoria and Anyone But You star surprised fans with her appearance at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, where she looked effortlessly chic in a white racing jacket, shorts, and sunglasses.

The 28-year-old actress, who is set to star in the upcoming sports drama “Christy,” joined the event as part of the drivers’ meeting and was seen mingling with racers and fans. NASCAR Cup Series driver Noah Gragson even posed for a picture with the actress before the race.

Sydney Sweeney’s Next Big Role: “Christy”

Sydney is gearing up for her most physically demanding role yet — playing Christy Martin, the trailblazing female boxer whose life story inspired the new biopic Christy.

While promoting the film on WFAN Radio, Sydney revealed that many of her boxing scenes were real and not staged.

“We actually did connect in the fights. I told my stunt coordinators — hit me for real. I wanted the punches to land because it brings Christy’s story to life,” she shared.

The actress even admitted to getting a concussion during filming but said the authenticity made the experience more powerful.

An Emotional Experience On Set

On Instagram, Sydney opened up about how deeply the project affected her.

“This movie and experience have been one of the most emotional, transformative experiences of my life,” she wrote. “Christy’s journey is so inspiring. There were moments on set where I’d look over at her cheering us on, and I’d just want to cry.”

Sydney described Christy as more than just a boxing movie — it’s a story of resilience, strength, and survival.

“You’ll see me kick some serious butt,” she teased, “but most importantly, you’ll witness a story that’s as powerful as the woman who lived it.”
